Feature Wall in the ONE Office

ONE as part of the Sydney collective of The Staple Group moved into a new office in Redfern late last year, conveniently located across the street from Centrelink, and although things are pretty interesting around here outside the office we were looking to vibe things up a little inside the office. So we called our Buddy and amazing Artist, Beastman, to see if he would be interested in adding some colours to the walls – luckily he was and was given free reign to paint whatever he felt fit. These photos were taken over the 4 hour period Beastman used to paint the feature wall.

Songl Hype Reel

We’re pretty stoked about this hype reel / TVC thingo we made for one of our Clients, Songl as it’s our very first one. Although still yet to officially launch(however you can sign up for a free trial account), Songl is a music subscription service that lets you listen to music when you want, where you want & all for a low monthly fee. It’s basically a music on demand service that is about discovering new music, sharing playlists and it’s the first Australian company to offer it. Check out the TVC we put together for them and sign up for a trial account, we use it everyday in the office to listen to listen to my mad 90′s punk playlists.

The Living End Mobile App

Our first app from our app company ZAPPP just went live for The Living End in the App store and Android Market Place. We’re very excited about this, Apple featured it in the App store and The Living End decided to give away a signature Chris Cheney Gretsch guitar to people that download the app. You see we understand how boring a standard Artist app can be, that’s why we invented the ZAPPP feature into all our apps so that engagement levels are raised and the User actually gets value out of the app – I mean who doesn’t want to win a guitar just by owning the app of their favourite band?

Icehouse “White Heat” debuts #5 on the ARIA Charts

One of our Clients Icehouse recently released the ultimate package in WHITE HEAT which consisted of 30 hits spanning their career with a music video for each hit. Well that album has just debuted at #5 on the ARIA Album Charts which is pretty amazing and everyone is stoked.

Big Sound 2011

I was recently invited by Q Music to speak at the Big Sound 2011 conference in Brisbane next week, the panel I will be talking on is called ‘The Future Is Now’ and will be broadcast on ABC Radio National. Attached is a description of what the panel consists of:

Making sense of the music business in 2011 and beyond. Our panellists explore the nature of the music business as it stands today and where they see our best steps forward into the future. Each panelist brings unique experiences and insights both locally and internationally to share with you. They will cover the many different ways people consume music today and discuss how it affects our business.

Other legends on the panel are Dick Huey(Toolshed), Claes Loberg(Guevera), Simon Wheeler(Beggars Group), Stephen Phillips(Hunted Media) and Paul Barclay(ABC) will be facilitating the panel.
